Hi, I'm Sally Yi
Do you know that my real name is not Sally? You might wonder where I'm from now. I was actually born and raised in China, but almost 11 years ago, I moved to the U.S. with my family. Interesting fact, I moved from a city of 7,000,000 people to a city of just 7,000 people in the states. Now that I live in great East Texas, I have come to love the country living. But when I say that I'm a city girl in heart, you will understand. ;) I met my dreamy blue-eyed boy when I was in college. Now we've been married almost 8 years and have 2 children, Blake (5) and Lexi (2).
I fell in love with photography after I had Lexi and decided to photograph families for fun. What I didn't know is that in less than a year later, I would be photographing weddings, graduating seniors, families and making this the career of my dreams. I love meeting new people and I get excited every time I pick up my camera. I'm inspired by every one of my clients. I love capturing joyful images.
If I'm not busy, I like to watch Chinese tv soap operas and munch on beef jerky and mango strips. It’s the perfect sweet and savory combo for me! :)
This is my man - Ryan. He's the sweetest husband and a real fun dad. We couldn't be anymore different from each other, but opposites attracting is a thing! I can't believe we've been married for 8 years now. I wish he would be into my crazy spicy Chinese food by now, but that still hasn't changed. He probably wishes I would be into football, but that still hasn't happened yet either. Haha, but we make a good team! He's always willing to help make sure my grammar on my websites and social media posts!
Blake is my oldest. He's the happiest little guy. He smiled when he was just 2 weeks old. He loves to laugh and will do anything to make us happy. He loves playing catch with his Dad and anything Avengers. He's curious and excited for anything in life. He's also the sweetest brother. He always says that he loves "everything!" He loves to play with Lexi when he gets home from school. He will climb up the panty to get candy for her, get her dressed, and basically will do anything to make her happy.
Lexi is my baby girl. Even though she's almost 3 now, but I will call her my baby girl for as long as I can. I love to pamper her! She loves when I dress her up and do her pig tails. She also doesn't mind playing sword fights with her brother and watching sports talk shows with her daddy during lunch time. She's got the cutest smiles and not shy about waving at anyone who she encounters. You will probably see me posting pictures of her the most because as always she gets the most attention. :)
